PSR has become the newest participant in the UN Global Compact – Brazil Network, the second largest local network of the global initiative, with more than 2,100 participants in Brazil. The Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, bringing together companies from different sectors and sizes to promote practices aligned with the 2030 Agenda, a global plan that establishes the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to promoting the SDGs, participation in the Global Compact implies a commitment to the Ten UN Principles, which include guidelines focused on human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and combating corruption.

Created in 2015, the 2030 Agenda is a global action plan for sustainable development, establishing goals for a fairer, more inclusive and balanced future. The UN believes that the private sector is essential to drive these changes, with companies playing an essential role in disseminating innovation and influencing different audiences.

The main objectives of the SDGs include guaranteeing human rights, eliminating poverty, combating inequality and injustice, promoting gender equality and combating climate change.

PSR, which already carries out important projects focused on the energy transition, is now strengthening its mission to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs, seeking positive impacts for both the corporate environment and society.
