One of the most traditional events on the Brazilian electricity market calendar, the PSR/Canal Energia Workshop reaches its 15th edition, addressing the main issues and indicating trends for the sector. Led by Mario Veiga, founder and director of Innovation at PSR, and Luiz Barroso, CEO of PSR, the event will be held on March 12, in Rio de Janeiro, and will bring together other PSR specialists and market agents, such as generators, transmission companies, distributors, traders, regulators, operators and representatives of sector authorities.

With the theme “Energy in sight and on time: balancing supply and demand with Brazil, the world and the changing climate”, the 2025 edition will discuss the main issues that influence both the energy production side and the distribution and consumption side, in addition to the increasingly frequent and intense effects of climate change on the electricity sector.

“The PSR/Canal Energia workshop discusses the most relevant issues in the global energy scenario with a focus on the Brazilian market, indicating business opportunities and risks involved. The menu of topics includes, for example, the upcoming energy auctions; curtailment and its impacts on generators; the fate of energy transmission concessions that will end in the coming years; and what to expect for the renewal of energy distribution concessions, in addition to recurring market topics, such as the balance between supply and demand and energy price projections.
