Auren Energia recently announced the acquisition of the company AES Brasil in a deal that will result in the third largest generator in the country, with an installed capacity of 8.8 gigawatts (GW) and a portfolio of 39 assets currently operational or under construction.

PSR provided strategic support to Auren during the due diligence phase, with regulatory analyses, transmission system usage tariff projections (Tust) and renewable generation spillover projections.

The transaction reinforces PSR’s experience in providing consultancy services, combining regulatory support, quantitative analyses and strategic guidance to support successful investments in the energy sector.
